"Know, first, who you are; and then adorn yourself accordingly." –Epictetus

Frida knows who she is, and she is not the least bit shy about telling you. Last week, she wanted to make a shirt and a skirt.

“Nothing ever really goes away--it just changes into something else.” –Sarah Ockler

This is a story of a scarf that Did Not Sell. That's okay; it didn't really want to be a scarf anyway.

(Unfortunately, I didn't start taking photos until I got into the project. The first stage was draping, moving things around, etc. to get an idea of what the cloth wanted to do, how it handled. I did not use a pattern for this one; just made it up on the fly.

"Time is limited, and the abundant water is flowing away. Drink, before you fall to pieces." --Rumi

Weaving the changing of a year.

"Don't be discouraged. It's often the last key in the bunch that opens the lock." --Author Unknown

A bit of delay in posting. One of the last projects of 2012.

was to be a wearable. A shirt? A vest?

Playing around with patterns in the new design book, this is what it told me it wanted to be:

And the sparks started flying
And the loose wires
Were lashing out at me…"

--Joni Mitchell
